June 2019
Can you believe that we are already half way thru the year? We certainly can not. It seems that just yesterday we were celebrating the new year. Hopefully your summer plans are for lots of fun and relaxation. And don't forget the good food to go along with all that fun. Did you know that Scott's Table caters? If you didn't and are planning an event that you need help with, be sure to give Karen a call so she can make sure that the menu is perfect for the occassion.
We have several upcoming events starting with the most important this month. Father's Day is upon us. Have you made your plans yet? Scott's Table is seating from 11 AM to 3 PM on June 16, 2019. This is a special day and requires reservations. Make yours today! We promise you will not be disappointed. Please be sure to check out the special menu.
June 13, 2019 marks the 2nd anniversary for Scott's Table. We are absolutely amazed that two years are behind us. And thankful to all our guests and staff that have helped to make that possible. It has been an exciting ride so far. We can't wait to see what the next year brings. If you come by for lunch that day, Karen is making a cake to share with everyone!
On June 20, 2019, Scott and Karen will be attending the kick off for the Visit NC Farm ap at Black Rock Winery. This is an exciting ap that allows locals and visitors to be able to learn about local farms as well as the restaurants that use local products. We are excited to partner with this organization to help promote our wonderfully talented farmers and ranchers.
On June 22, 2019, Scott will be doing a demonstration at the farmer's market in downtown Southern Pines. He will be there between 9:30 and 12 with a free sampling just for you. Please say hi if you can come by. Please support your local farmers.
Have a wonderful summer!

March 2019 Newsletter
We are so pleased to be able to send you our next edition of our newsletter! Thank you for subscribing. We are happy to have you as part of our family and look forward to us getting to know each other better. Be sure to let us know you saw this letter on your next visit and you may find yourself with a tasty treat just for you!
We have had a wonderful begining to our year and hope that you have as well. January and February brought us many extra events and March seems to be following suit. If you didn't get the chance to participate in our Valentines Day Dinner, don't worry. We have more special event days just around the corner. Believe it or not, we received our first Mother's Day reservation just this week. Scott has begun the process of creating some new dishes for that special brunch and it already has mouth's here watering. Look for a sneak peak in next month's newsletter.
March brings the begining of daylight savings time. Are you ready? Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before bed on Saturday March 9th and get ready for your biological clocks to be a little out of wack for about a week. Is there anything you do in addition to changing your clocks and whining about how tired you are like we do? As we head into spring, we believe it is helpful to eat good food, get rest, and drink plenty of water. Our Chicken Spinach Salad seems to already be on people's minds at lunch. It has grilled chicken, fresh baby spinach leaves, boiled eggs, red onion, and sliced mushrooms all tossed in a house made hot bacon viniagrette. Mmm mmm good.
One of our newest farmers is Lost Woods in West End, NC. They are happily providing us with some of the most beautiful pearl oyster mushrooms you have ever seen. The abundance of rain certainly hasn't hurt these beauties. Scott has been using them in soup, ragout, sauces, and specials. Once they arrive in our building, they don't last long. So the next time you see that we are featuring Moore County mushrooms, know that you are in for a treat!
